Job summary

National Heritage Board (NHB) invites applications for an AM/M (ECO, Outreach) role. This position supports operations for two community galleries, leads programming at Kreta Ayer and collaborates with GSHG to deliver a cohesive programme calendar while managing partnerships and volunteers.

The role requires independent, proactive work across procurement, contracts and programming, with weekend commitments as needed and scope to evolve toward greater partnerships and programming focus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in heritage, museum, arts, events management or community development.
• Background in arts management, humanities, social sciences or communications preferred.
• Vernacular language skills are advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes is advantageous.
• Managerial level requires at least 4 years of relevant experience with partnerships or program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of two community galleries (GSHG & KAHG) including contracts, sitters and estates matters.
• Take primary ownership of programming at Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery and coordinate with GSHG programming to align the calendar.
• Operational oversight of Museum-Based Learning and supervision of two MBL staff.
• Manage NHB's volunteer partnerships and organise the annual volunteer appreciation event.
• Oversee budget, stakeholder relations, and maintenance for Street Corner Heritage Galleries; undertake ad-hoc initiatives.
