Job summary

The GMP Group in Singapore is seeking a proactive Sourcing Specialist to lead end-to-end activities for assigned commodities, focusing on supplier selection, cost competitiveness, lead time optimization, and capacity planning to support business objectives.

You will analyze costs, benchmark prices, and perform Total Cost of Ownership evaluations to identify savings, monitor supplier performance against key metrics, onboard new suppliers, and collaborate with buyers to implement sourcing

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field.
• 1–2 years of sourcing or category management experience.
• Preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
• Proficient in advanced data tools (Excel Power Query/Pivot, Power BI, Tableau).

Job description

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned commodities, focusing on supplier selection, cost competitiveness, lead time optimization, and capacity planning to support business objectives.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis, price benchmarking, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluations to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiency.

• Monitor supplier performance against key metrics including quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and manufacturing capacity, while proactively managing supply chain risks.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and operational requirements while building strong vendor relationships.

• Collaborate closely with buyers and cross-functional stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies, maintain accurate sourcing master data, and resolve supplier-related issues impacting procurement operations.

Requirement:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field, with 1–2 years of sourcing or category management experience, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing

• Proficient in advanced data tools (Excel Power Query/Pivot, Power BI, Tableau) with ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights, plus aptitude to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
