Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS INSURANCE LIMITED is seeking an Underwriter in the Commercial Distribution Division in Singapore. The role focuses on servicing and growing commercial accounts, underlining high-quality client service and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

You will support revenue growth, handle renewals, prepare summaries and documents, and mentor junior staff. Mandarin language skills are preferred to service Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline.
• Certificate in General Insurance required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Teamwork and customer focus.
• Mandarin language preference.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial risks and support revenue growth.
• Provide service to grow new customers, retain existing ones and drive transformation.
• Prepare insurance summaries, renewal invitations and policy documentation.
• Assist with premium collection and monthly business reports.
• Mentor junior underwriters and participate in training.
• Collaborate with Division Head to achieve divisional objectives.
