Job summary

The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a Research Fellow in Oceanography, Sediment Dynamics, Ocean Engineering or Environmental Engineering to join a PUB/CFI project on coastal protection.

The fellow will develop hydrodynamic and sediment transport models, conduct field measurements in Singapore’s coastal environments, and contribute to publications and data management.

Qualifications

• PhD in Oceanography, Sediment Dynamics, Ocean Engineering or related field.
• Strong hydrodynamic and sediment transport modelling background.
• Experience with coastal field measurements and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrodynamic and sediment transport models for coastal systems.
• Conduct field measurements and analyse seabed and water parameters in Singaporean coastal-marine settings.
• Quantify sediment erosion/flux/deposition patterns from data and modelling outputs.
• Integrate modelling results with multidisciplinary datasets and publish findings.
