Job summary

The Public Utilities Board (PUB) is seeking an Asst Director/Senior Engineer/Executive Engineer to help shape Singapore's coastline at the Greater Southern Waterfront. You will design and implement coastal protection systems to safeguard the island for generations.

In this role you will manage scopes of work, tender specifications, and contracts with consultants and contractors, review proposals, coordinate with agencies, and lead risk and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely delivery within

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in marine, coastal or reclamation projects preferred; candidates with less experience may apply.
• Experience in project management and construction contract administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scopes of work, tender specifications, and evaluation reports and manage appointment of consultants and contractors.
• Support management of Professional Engineering Services and construction works contracts for the Greater Southern Waterfront to ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Review civil and geotechnical proposals, site investigations, design submissions, and construction methods for compliance with government requirements and contract specs.
• Manage contractual matters, including progress payments, variations, claims and related issues during project delivery.
• Coordinate with stakeholder agencies, grassroots leaders, nature & interest groups to ensure smooth implementation of coastal protection projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and manage public feedback and community engagement during project implementation.
