Job summary

SJ Group in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Principal Engineer to act as Projects Director within the Construction & Management Unit. You will lead major coastal, marine and infrastructure projects, advising clients and teams on technical and contractual matters while ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

The role calls for a senior engineer with extensive project leadership experience, capable of managing key clients and multidisciplinary teams and contributing to CMU's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum ten years of relevant experience in design, construction or delivery.
• Experience on coastal reclamation, marine, geotechnical or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
• Strong project management, contract administration and risk handling.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management and delivery of major coastal, marine and infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic direction to project teams across planning, design, tender and construction.
• Oversee safety, quality, cost, programme and contractual requirements.
• Advise clients and stakeholders on complex technical and contractual matters.
• Manage senior client relationships with government agencies and contractors.
• Mentor Project Managers, engineers and site staff, supporting capability development.
• Review submissions, construction methodologies and contractual documents.
• Lead tender submissions, project pursuits and client presentations.
