Job summary

Singapore Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer / Assistant (Biodiversity) to join the Engineering Division on a fixed-term basis. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Coastal ecology experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and manage the research project with the PI and team to meet deliverables.
• Conduct field studies in coastal marine habitats including fish, macroinvertebrates, and plankton sampling.
• Perform laboratory work sorting and processing specimens and data collected in the field.
• Carry out data analyses and write technical reports or scientific papers.
• Carry out risk assessment and ensure compliance with Work, Health and Safety regulations.
• Coordinate procurement and liaise with vendors and suppliers.
• Work independently and in a team to operate and maintain equipment.
• Communicate with internal or external parties to ensure project deliverables and perform other duties as assigned.
