Job summary

Singapore Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer / Assistant (Biodiversity) to join the Engineering Cluster. You will contribute to industry-relevant biodiversity projects, conducting field and laboratory work to investigate coastal ecosystems.

The role requires a background in coastal ecology, a BEng(Hons) or BSc(Hons), and the ability to work independently and in a team while delivering high-quality data analyses and reports.

Qualifications

• BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) for RE/RA or equivalent, with prior experience in coastal ecology preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the research project with PI and team to meet deliverables.
• Field studies in coastal habitats including mangroves, fishes, macroinvertebrates.
• Laboratory work involving sorting and processing specimens and data.
• Data analyses and writing technical reports or scientific papers.
• Carry out risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate procurement and liaise with vendors.
• Communicate with internal or external parties to meet project deliverables.
