Job summary

TKL Mechanical Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced CNC Lathe operator to set up, program and run lathes under supervision, using Fanuc controls and G-code.

You will read drawings, determine dimensions and tolerances, select setups, monitor machining, troubleshoot issues and perform deburring or polishing as needed. This role requires precision and adherence to specs, with basic tooling optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes, preferably with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read drawings and determine tolerances and sequence of operations.
• Familiarity with setting and calculating machining controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up, programming and operate CNC Lathe with limited assistance or direct supervision, with experience on Fanuc controller and G-codes.
• Read, interpret and execute machining works to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors.
• Suggest new tooling design and modifications to existing tooling when required.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
• Perform follow-up operations, such as deburring, polishing etc when required.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
