Job summary

EQUIPTEST ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a CAM Programmer to generate CNC Fanuc programs and interpret 3D CAD designs. You will create Work Definition/Processes in Oracle and optimize machining sequences to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on CAM experience (MasterCam 2023), reads technical drawings, and collaborates well in a team while working independently. Singapore location, with AWS/VB and profit sharing benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
• 2–5 years hands-on CAM experience with MasterCam 2023.
• Knowledge of CNC milling and Oracle ERP.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate CNC Fanuc programs using CAM.
• Interpret drawings and review 3D CAD designs.
• Create Work Definition/Processes in Oracle.
• Analyze designs and define optimal machining sequence.
• Set speeds, feeds and fixtures per the master parameter template.
• Request CAD files from Engineers.
• Compare 3D model with drawings for errors.
• Ensure cutting tools are available or request purchase.
• Optimize programs for shorter cycle times and reduced tool wear.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by superior.

• Able to interpret technical drawing and review 3D CAD design.
• Able to create Work Definition/ Processes in Oracle software.
• Analyzes the design and defines the best sequence of machining steps.
• Follow the Master parameter template to decide speeds, feeds and fixture to be used.
• Request CAD file from Engineer.
• Compare 3D model dimensions with hard copy drawing for any error.
• Ensure that cutting tools are available or highlight to superior for purchase.
• Optimize programs to ensure low cycle times and tool wear are minimized.
• Engage in other activities or responsibilities assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Minimum Higher Nitec/ Diploma in any Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical &Electronics)
• Minimum 2 - 5years hands-on experience in CAM software (Master Cam 2023).
• Knowledge and exposure in CNC Milling machines & Oracle ERP software.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawing.
• Team player who is able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
