Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd is seeking a quality inspector to inspect CNC machined parts, ensuring they meet drawings, customer specifications, and internal standards before release.

The role involves performing first article, in-process, and final inspections, using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM-related checks. Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Precision Engineering.
• 1–3 years of inspection experience in CNC machining or precision engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection for CNC machined parts according to drawings and inspection plans.
• Read and interpret GD&T symbols, material specs, and inspection requirements.
• Record inspection results accurately in reports or check sheets and report nonconforming parts.
• Work with CNC operators, production, and quality teams to clarify quality issues.
• Support root cause investigation for repeated defects or machining issues.

About the role

To inspect CNC machined parts and ensure all parts meet drawing requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards before release to the next process or shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection for CNC machined parts according to engineering drawings and inspection plans
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, thread gauge, pin gauge, dial indicator, and surface roughness tester
• Conduct first article inspection, in process inspection, and final inspection
• Check critical dimensions, tolerance, surface finish, thread quality, hole position, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, and other drawing requirements
• Read and understand technical drawings, GD&T symbols, material specifications, and inspection requirements
• Record inspection results accurately in inspection reports or check sheets
• Identify and report nonconforming parts to the supervisor or quality engineer
• Segregate rejected parts and ensure proper identification of accepted, rejected, and pending inspection items
• Work closely with CNC operators, production team, and quality team to clarify quality issues
• Support root cause investigation when repeated defects or machining issues are found

About you

• Minimum NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• At least 1 to 3 years of inspection experience in CNC machining or precision engineering industry
• Able to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerance requirements
• Able to use common measuring instruments independently
• Knowledge of GD&T will be an advantage
• Experience in CMM inspection will be an advantage
• Able to work in rotating shift or overtime when required
• Good attention to detail and responsible working attitude
• Able to communicate inspection findings clearly with production and quality team
