Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Singapore develops and assembles precision components for high-tech industries, including semiconductor and healthcare. You will operate CNC or conventional machines, load materials, and perform tool changes and in-process inspections.

You will interpret drawings, monitor performance, maintain records, and coordinate with engineers and technicians to resolve production issues, while following safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Secondary school or technical certificate; NITEC/Higher NITEC preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience operating machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of CNC milling or turning.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T fundamentals.
• Proficiency using metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC or conventional machines such as milling, turning, grinding, or drilling equipment.
• Load raw materials, set basic machine parameters, and perform required tool changes.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measurement tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow process sheets and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities, tool wear, or dimensional deviations.
• Maintain accurate production records including quantities produced, scrap, and machine downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, housekeeping, and compliance with machine guarding requirements.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on machines.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to resolve production issues.
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing activities.
