Job summary

A precision engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a technician proficient in interpreting technical drawings and performing machining processes. The ideal candidate will have at least a Diploma in Precision or Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include programming, operating machines, guiding operators, and troubleshooting any dimensional non-conformance. This role involves designing basic jigs and fixtures as required.

Qualifications

• Preferred to have NTC/ Diploma in Precision or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years of related experience required for non-technical applicants.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and possess machining knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and perform machining processes.
• Perform machine code programming.
• Operate and set up machinery as per specifications.
• Guide operators with basic instructions in machine operation.
• Design jigs & fixtures for machining processes if required.
• Troubleshoot non-conformance in dimensions and provide remedies.

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. To interpret technical drawing and performing machining process and requirement to produce the workpiece.
2. To perform machine code programming.
3. To operate, set up parts and producing parts as per drawing specification.
4. Guiding and providing operator/machinist with basic instruction in operating the machines.
5. Design simple jigs & fixtures for machining process if required.
6. To trouble shoot on dimensions non-conformance and provide corrective action and remedy

Competence Requirement

· Preferred to have NTC/ Diploma in Precision or Mechanical Engineering.

• Having 2 years of related experiences in related field is required for non-technical applicant.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and having machining knowledge.
