Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Programmer to join our team. The CNC Lathe Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs for lathe machines, ensuring the production of high‑precision components. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and a strong understanding of machining processes.

Responsibilities
CNC Programming
  • Develop, edit, and fine‑tune CNC programs to guide lathe machines in producing parts with precision and efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to generate accurate machining instructions.
Machine Setup
  • Configure and set up lathe machines based on job requirements, including tool selection, workpiece positioning, and fixture installation.
  • Ensure that cutting tools and fixtures are in optimal condition for the production run.
Machine Operation
  • Operate CNC lathe machines, monitoring the production process for quality and consistency.
  • Make real‑time adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards.
Quality Control
  • Conduct regular quality checks to verify that machined parts meet specified tolerances and quality criteria.
  • Address any issues related to the production process that may impact quality.
Tool Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance on cutting tools and replace them when necessary, ensuring tools are in excellent condition for machining tasks.
  • Maintain a detailed record of tool changes and maintenance activities.
Troubleshooting
  • Identify and resolve issues related to CNC machine operation, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors.
Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to create a secure working environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Documentation
  • Keep records of machine setup, programming modifications, and production data.
  • Offer insights and suggestions for process improvements and enhanced efficiency.
