Job summary

Amazon seeks a Solutions Architect I in Singapore to partner with customers, translating their needs into secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud designs. You will design architectures, contribute to technical content, and collaborate with sales and engineering to drive customer opportunities forward.

You will gain hands-on experience in cloud computing architecture, build trusted customer relationships, and develop your expertise under experienced architects who support your growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++.
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to architect cloud solutions where the business objective, opportunity, and strategy are defined, owning the design and delivery of solution components while making trade-off decisions across load distribution, data store selection, scaling strategy, and failover mechanisms.
• Collaborate with customer technical teams to dive into design choices, best practices, and use cases, discussing opportunities and risks of their technical decisions.
• Apply design best practices for security, reliability, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance efficiency, recognizing when to leverage existing solutions or create custom approaches.
• Contribute to development, delivery, and maintenance of technical content—sample code, presentations, and workshops—to educate customers and share best practices.
• Partner with internal teams such as sales, business development, and engineering to progress customer opportunities through their lifecycle and provide actionable product feedback.
