Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable hybrid cloud and cloud-edge architectures for electric power and smart-grid environments.

You will develop database, storage, and distributed data solutions for mission-critical applications including SCADA and power IoT. The role requires 5+ years in enterprise ICT solution architecture, cloud pre-sales, or GTM strategy, with strong hands-on experience in OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

Job Description

• Design secure, scalable, and highly available hybrid cloud and cloud-edge architectures for electric power and smart-grid environments.
• Develop database, storage, and distributed data solutions for mission-critical applications, including SCADA, metering, grid dispatch, and power IoT.
• Design energy-efficient data-centre solutions incorporating high-density computing and liquid-cooling technologies.
• Automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and failover using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell, or Go.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure, system performance, capacity, disaster recovery, security, and cost efficiency.
• Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), technical demonstrations, solution proposals, and customer presentations.
• Translate electric power and digital energy requirements into commercially viable cloud solutions and support go-to-market initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers, regional teams, partners, and Headquarters R&D to align solution designs and project delivery.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in enterprise ICT solution architecture, cloud pre-sales, technical solution delivery, or GTM strategy.
• Experience in electric power, digital energy, utilities, or enterprise ICT vertical solutions is required.
• Strong practical experience with HCS, OpenStack, virtualization platforms, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise databases and distributed data architectures, such as GaussDB, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of cloud-edge collaboration, power IoT, SCADA cloudification, smart grids, and energy-efficient data centre architectures.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell, Go, or equivalent technologies.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
