Job summary

Tencent Cloud Big Data is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to deliver end-to-end data solutions for strategic enterprise customers across international markets. This role combines deep big data expertise with customer-facing solution leadership and global market insight to modernise architectures and realise Tencent Cloud's differentiated value.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of big data architecture and technical consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and Spark, Flink, Elasticsearch, Doris, ClickHouse, and Trino.
• Experience with data lakes, lakehouse platforms, real-time processing, serverless data services, and open formats Iceberg and Hudi.

Responsibilities

• Engage enterprise customers to understand requirements across big data architecture, real-time processing, data lakes, analytics, and governance.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, PoCs, and solution demonstrations for cloud migration and platform modernization.
• Design scalable end-to-end data solutions for industries such as e-commerce, gaming, and fintech.
• Articulate the technical and business value of Tencent Cloud's big data portfolio and differentiate against AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales and post-sales teams to ensure successful implementation and issue resolution for international customers.

What the Role Entails

As a key member of the Tencent Cloud Big Data team, the Senior Solution Architect will provide technical consulting and deliver end-to-end data solutions for strategic enterprise customers across international markets. This role combines deep big data expertise, customer-facing solution leadership, and global market insight to help organisations address complex data challenges, modernise their architectures, and realise the differentiated value of Tencent Cloud.

Engage enterprise customers to understand their requirements across big data architecture, real-time processing, data lakes, analytics, and data governance, and design scalable end-to-end solutions for industries such as e-commerce, gaming, and fintech.

Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, solution demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), supporting customers throughout cloud migration, platform modernisation, and architecture upgrade initiatives.

Articulate the technical and business value of Tencent Cloud's big data portfolio and develop competitive differentiation strategies against platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Serve as the technical bridge between international customer-facing teams and Tencent Cloud's R&D headquarters, collaborating with product, engineering, sales, and post-sales teams to ensure effective solution implementation and issue resolution.

Identify recurring international market requirements, including data compliance, localisation, interoperability, and multi-cloud deployment, and translate these insights into recommendations for product roadmap and globalisation initiatives.

Who We Look For

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least five years of relevant experience in big data architecture, technical consulting, solution design, or platform implementation with strong technical knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and relevant technologies, including Spark, Flink, Elasticsearch, Apache Doris, ClickHouse, and Trino.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouse platforms, real-time data processing, serverless data services, and open table formats such as Apache Iceberg and Apache Hudi.
• Familiarity with leading cloud data and analytics platforms, including AWS EMR and Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks, with the ability to conduct technical comparisons and develop differentiated solution strategies.
• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and verbal, is required to independently deliver technical presentations and solution proposals to international customers in English and Chinese Mandarin, and to collaborate effective with Chinese-speaking product and R&D stakeholders at Tencent China headquarters.
