Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer for a 2-year contract in the School of InfoComm Technology. The role focuses on teaching modules in software engineering, DevSecOps, cloud services, deployment (Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.), and cloud architecture.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, cloud services and/or deployment.
• Commitment to stay updated with industry advancements and integrating new technologies into teaching.
• Passion for education with interest in teaching and mentoring youths and adults.
• Ability to design engaging curriculum, develop materials and deliver classes.
• Self-driven, independent and capable of teamwork with others.
• Wit, initiative and strong communication skills.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop teaching and assessment materials and conduct lessons for PET and CET learners.
• Develop and maintain teaching curriculum with regular reviews and improvements.
• Stay updated on current tech trends and emerging developments.
• Handle administrative work related to teaching.
• Supervise and mentor students in competitions and consultancy projects.
• Support student learning through consultation and mentorship.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with industry partners for curriculum and CET initiatives.
• Work on industry or consultancy projects.
• Organise overseas study trips, immersion programs and student exchanges.
