Job summary

sggovterp invites applications for a Lecturer position in the School of Business & Accountancy on a 2-year contract. You will conduct workshop-style lessons for PET full-time students and CET adult learners, and develop materials to keep the curriculum current with industry trends.

You will mentor students, contribute to academic consultation, and support outreach and collaborations with industry partners, including study trips and CET training opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in business, finance, analytics, or digital product design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Excel, modern UX/UI design software) with a strong interest in integrating AI-powered tools into business applications.
• Commitment to staying updated with evolving financial regulations, market trends, and technological advancements, with a drive to integrate these into the classroom.
• A deep interest in teaching, mentoring, and inspiring both youth (PET full-time students) and adult learners (CET continuing education).
• Eagerness to design engaging curricula, develop data-driven case studies, and deliver impactful lessons that bridge theory and industry practice.
• Self-driven and independent, with the agility to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary academic team.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex quantitative and digital concepts using innovative teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality workshop-style lessons and facilitate learning for PET full-time students and CET adult learners.
• Develop and review innovative teaching and assessment materials, ensuring curriculum remains current and aligned with industry trends.
• Keep abreast of current and emerging trends across business and digital domains to enable curriculum evolution.
• Handle administrative duties related to teaching, module management, and student grading.
• Support student development through academic consultation, pastoral care, and mentorship in competitions and industry projects.
• Support school outreach events and recruitment initiatives.
• Identify strategic collaborations with industry partners for curriculum enrichment and CET training opportunities.
• Organize overseas learning journeys, study trips, immersion programs, and student exchanges.
