Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead day-to-day cloud operations across government cloud environments, ensuring reliability, security, performance, and readiness.

You will coordinate with engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and vendors, manage incidents, enforce governance and SOPs, and drive cost optimisation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in cloud operations for large-scale or government environments is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of GCC, AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk.
• ITIL certification or ITIL-based operations experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day cloud operations and service delivery across government cloud environments.
• Oversee availability, reliability, performance, capacity, and security of cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Manage operational activities involving GCC and public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Establish and maintain cloud operation processes, SOPs, runbooks, and governance controls.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications, resolving incidents within SLAs.
• Lead incident, problem, change, and service request management, including major incident coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement for platform stability, efficiency, automation, and service quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, application, cybersecurity, and infra teams for deployments.
• Ensure cloud environments comply with government security policies and standards.
• Manage cloud-related risks, patches, access controls, and configuration compliance.
• Oversee resource utilisation, capacity planning, and cost management.
• Coordinate external vendors and service providers and track SLAs.
• Provide operational reporting, dashboards, and risk updates to stakeholders.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience planning.
• Mentor cloud operations engineers and provide technical leadership.
