About The Role

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to help build, operate, and improve the production systems behind our cloud services.

You'll work across software, infrastructure, and operations-designing scalable solutions, troubleshooting complex production issues, improving service health, and automating how systems are deployed and managed.

This role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving production problems, working across distributed systems, and improving the reliability and scalability of cloud services.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and improve production infrastructure, platforms, and cloud services.
• Design and implement scalable solutions for fast-changing environments.
• Investigate production issues, debug code, identify performance bottlenecks, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Build automation and enhancements that improve monitoring, testing, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with engineering teams on system design, architecture, and production readiness.
• Support pre-production testing, release validation, and post-change verification.
• Conduct code and architecture reviews and help resolve scalability and performance issues.
• Improve service health, resiliency, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience in production engineering, software development, systems engineering, or cloud operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across applications and infrastructure.

• Experience with infrastructure software, deployment, monitoring, and testing.
• Good understanding of server architecture, scalability, and system reliability.
