Job summary

Razer (Asia-Pacific) Pte. Ltd seeks a senior software architect to lead cloud-native microservices across multiple regions. You will define scalable architectures, guide migration from monoliths, and ensure data residency compliance while coordinating with engineering, security, product, and operations teams.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and stay current with cloud, AI, and distributed systems trends to support Razer's growing ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering with 3+ years in architecture/leadership.
• Proven microservices design in cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Experience migrating from monolith to microservices with decomposition.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and multi-region deployments.
• Knowledge of data residency and data sovereignty requirements (GDPR/PDPA/CCPA).
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and ability to document architecture clearly.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy containerized/serverless cloud apps for Razer's ecosystem.
• Provide high-level design and technical leadership for scalable systems.
• Lead migration from monolith to distributed microservices across regions.
• Design end-to-end architectures with data synchronization and conflict resolution.
• Plan regional deployments, traffic routing, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure data residency and privacy compliance within geographic boundaries.
• Use containerization and Kubernetes for scalable, reproducible deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, product, and operations stakeholders.
• Produce architectural documentation and review processes; mentor teams.
• Stay ahead on cloud, AI, and web architecture trends.
