Job summary

ST Engineering Cloud and Data Centre Solutions is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure professional to plan, design, and manage complex server and virtualization deployments across hybrid cloud environments. You will drive secure networking, storage, and container-based solutions while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will lead technical tasks, support AI/ML workloads in cloud, implement Kubernetes and GPU-enabled storage, and mentor junior engineers while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux in virtual environments.
• Hands-on virtualization and hypervisor management.
• Knowledge of networking, security appliances, and VPNs.
• Experience with container tech and Kubernetes for AI/ML workloads.
• Ability to design end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions and document them.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and control technical aspects of IT projects.
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure.
• Design and solution end-to-end requirements for projects.
• Lead a team of junior engineers and build skillsets.
• Produce project documentation and reports.

Services include engineering works to design, build and provide facility management service for mission critical environments such data centers, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites.

• Plan, execute, monitor and control the various Technical aspect of the Project.
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.
• Responsible for designing and solutioning end-to-end requirements
• Responsible for a team of junior engineers with regards to project taskings and building up of skillsets
• Produce project documentation and reports
• Diagnose and rectify technical issues

Qualities We Value

• Experienced with Windows server OS, Unix/Linux OS in virtual environments
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Virtualisation and Hypervisors, Nutanix platform preferred
• NCP/NCM certification will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge in VPN, firewalls and other security appliances
• Strong knowledge in network switches/routers
• Strong knowledge in Container technology and various platforms
• Deep understanding of various IT functionalities that make up a complete IT System Infrastructure
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of the infrastructure components for AI/ML workloads in a cloud environment, such as Kubernetes, GPUs, High-Performance Storage and Networking
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment
• Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking
• Able to work independently as well as in a team and good interpersonal skills
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including machine learning models, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI workloads in cloud environments
