Job summary

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) invites applications for the Intern - Cloud Engineering (Spring 2027, Jan to Jun) within the SGX Group Internship Program. Location: Singapore, SG.

You will join the Cloud Engineering team to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, supporting mission-critical applications. You will gain hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud governance, and AI-assisted automation while working in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive learning attitude, and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash), Git-based source control, and basic Linux command-line navigation.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure and cloud computing concepts, with hands-on cloud experience from academic work, personal projects or labs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, version control pipelines, or container technologies (like Docker).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document reusable IaC modules for provisioning core cloud services.
• Implement Policy-as-Code frameworks to enforce cloud security baselines, mandatory tagging, and governance rules.
• Support engineers with cloud engineering BAU tasks, including resource provisioning requests, baseline configuration audits, and platform hygiene.
• Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure configuration issues.
• Assist in identifying suitable manual workflows and building AI agents to automate them.
• Maintain clean code repositories and draft clear, concise runbooks and technical documentation for newly developed components.
