Job summary

seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and manage enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, server platforms, and production systems. You will handle infrastructure implementation, configuration, migration, monitoring, automation, backup, and recovery across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, IT, CS or related discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, system administration, or related IT roles.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
• Experience installing, configuring, migrating, upgrading, patching, and supporting production infrastructure.
• Experience with backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and databases.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based incident, change, and release management processes.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge and cloud deployment experience is advantageous.
• Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud and enterprise infrastructure across dev, test, and prod.
• Administer Linux/Unix and Windows servers across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
• Perform installation, configuration, migration, and upgrades of infrastructure systems and apps.
• Provision and configure servers, OS, software components, and services per requirements.
• Support migrations and deployments for applications and databases.
• Execute backup, restoration, DR activities and resilience testing.
• Monitor environments and perform regular health checks to resolve issues.
• Automate routine tasks and develop infrastructure automation scripts.
• Maintain documentation and procedures for infrastructure operations.
• Coordinate with infra teams to deliver integrated tech solutions.
• Support production deployments, change requests, incident, and problem management per ITIL.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced cloud engineer to support and manage enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, server platforms, application deployments, and production systems. The role will be responsible for infrastructure implementation, configuration, migration, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, backup, and recovery activities across development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud and enterprise infrastructure solutions across development, test, and production environments.


• Administer and maintain Linux/Unix and Windows servers across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.


• Perform installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade of infrastructure systems and supporting applications.


• Provision and configure servers, operating systems, software components, and infrastructure services according to business and technical requirements.


• Support infrastructure migration and deployment activities, including application and database environments.


• Perform backup, restoration, and recovery activities and support disaster recovery and resilience testing.


• Monitor infrastructure environments and conduct regular system health checks to identify and resolve performance and operational issues.


• Automate routine infrastructure and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.


• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and support continuous improvement of infrastructure operations.


• Perform operating system and software patching, configuration, and maintenance activities.


• Troubleshoot Linux/Unix, Windows, application, and infrastructure-related issues and coordinate with relevant technical teams for resolution.


• Support database and application infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrade activities.


• Work closely with DBA, Wintel, backup, application, and other infrastructure teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.


• Support production deployments, change requests, incident management, and problem management in accordance with ITIL processes.


• Configure and maintain file-transfer and infrastructure connectivity services between systems.


• Participate in infrastructure proof of concepts, technical evaluations, and implementation activities where required.


• Analyze existing infrastructure environments and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.


• Gather technical requirements from users and stakeholders and translate them into infrastructure solutions.


• Validate infrastructure changes through testing before production implementation.


• Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure procedures, system interfaces, and operational records.


• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation for critical infrastructure environments.


• Provide technical support and communicate infrastructure status, issues, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.


• Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure timely resolution of infrastructure and production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, system administration, or related IT infrastructure roles.


• Strong experience in Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.


• Experience in infrastructure installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, patching, and production support.


• Experience with backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and infrastructure health monitoring.


• Experience supporting enterprise application and database environments.


• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting.


• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Experience working with cross-functional infrastructure, application, database, and operations teams.


• Knowledge of ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and release management processes.


• Cloud infrastructure knowledge and experience with cloud deployment, configuration, and administration will be an advantage.


• Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications will be an advantage
