Job summary

Visa Hunt, on behalf of a global technology, defence and engineering group, is seeking a skilled Cloud & Data Centre engineer in Singapore. You will work on cloud management, data centre design, migration and ongoing operations to support mission critical environments.

In this role you will plan, execute, monitor and control technical aspects of projects, upgrade systems, ensure SLAs, perform maintenance, and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows or Linux server OS in virtual environments.
• 3 years hands-on virtualization experience; Nutanix a plus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and AI workloads in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and control technical aspects of the project.
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.
• Support operational systems to satisfy contractual SLAs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and operational activities.
• Provide project documentation and reports.
• Diagnose and rectify technical issues.

Our client provides all aspects of cloud management, services, and solutions, from initial setup and migration to ongoing operations and optimization. Services include engineering works to design, build and provide facility management service for mission critical environments such data centers, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites.

• Plan, execute, monitor and control the various Technical aspect of the Project.
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.
• Responsible for supporting operational systems satisfying contractual Service Level Agreement
• Perform and manage routine preventive maintenance and operational activities promptly and effectively
• Provide project documentation and reports
• Diagnose and rectify technical issue

Qualities We Value:

• Knowledge in Windows server OS, Linux OS in a virtual environment would be an advantage
• Knowledge and 3 years hands‑on experience with Virtualization and Hypervisors, Nutanix platform would be an advantage
• Knowledge in VPN, firewall appliances would be an advantage
• Knowledge in network switches/routers would be an advantage
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including machine learning models, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI workloads in cloud environments
• Understanding of dockers and containerization technologies and how they support AI/ML workloads
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment
• Pro‑active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking
