Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore is hiring a Cloud Database Associate/Engineer to develop and manage cloud infrastructure core components, focusing on PaaS databases to ensure high availability and reliability. You will work in a DevSecOps driven team supporting cloud environments with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS implementations.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma in CS/IT with 1-3 years IT experience, know SQL, and have exposure to AWS/Azure, Oracle and MySQL.

Qualifications

Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering or Information Technology.
1 to 3 years of relevant IT experience.
Familiar with SQL scripting language.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of cloud concepts, services, technologies and architecting.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders.
Team player with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Setup, testing, implementation and maintenance of cloud technologies on AWS/Azure.
Setup, managing & maintaining databases for client IT cloud infrastructure.
Monitor and troubleshoot Oracle and MySQL related issues.
Provide solutions related to database design.
Implement change requests in database development.
Provide SQL query tuning solutions.
Perform database installation, upgrades and migrations.
Database patching and hardening.
Work in an agile, cross-functional team and document processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tech standards and best practices.
Provide AWS maintenance support for production systems.
