Job summary

PageGroup Corporation Solutions (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement cloud-native architectures for enterprise and digital applications, with a focus on AWS, security, and cost optimization.

You will drive best practices across projects, build CI/CD pipelines, manage Terraform and CloudFormation, and collaborate with security, governance, and business teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years in cloud architecture and engineering.
• Strong hands-on AWS with core services.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Proficient in Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures for enterprise and digital applications.
• Define cloud standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Review solutions for scalability, reliability, availability, performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Drive AWS best practices across projects.
• Partner with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

Engineering & Automation

• Design and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and manage AWS services including:
• EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
• ELB, RDS
• EFS, FSx, S3
• KMS, Secrets Manager
• EventBridge, CloudWatch
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create automation using Python, Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements.

Cloud Security & Governance

• Design secure cloud architectures following security best practices.
• Implement IAM, encryption, secrets management, and access controls.
• Support security services such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and monitoring tools.
• Work with security and risk teams on compliance and audit requirements.
• Support cloud governance policies and guardrails.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Good understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, routing, and security).
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Strong ing skills in Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and cost‑effective cloud solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications:
• AWS Solutions Architect
• AWS DevOps Engineer
• AWS Security Specialty
• Experience with AWS AI services such as Bedrock and Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS and OCI).

Experience in highly regulated or high‑availability environments
