Job summary

Hong Kong Unison Limited in Singapore seeks a highly experienced Cloud Architect to lead enterprise cloud initiatives with hands-on engineering to translate designs into automated, scalable solutions.

You will shape cloud strategy, standards, security controls, governance and cost optimization while collaborating with CloudOps, SRE, DBA, security and business stakeholders. Strong AWS expertise and CI/CD automation are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years in cloud architecture and engineering.
• Strong AWS core services expertise (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Hands-on CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (GitLab, Terraform, CloudFormation).

We are looking for a candidate who can design enterprise-scale cloud solutions and translate architecture into working implementations through automation and modern engineering practices.

The successful candidate will help shape cloud strategy, architecture standards, security controls, governance framework, and cost optimization initiatives while working closely with application teams, CloudOps, SRE, DBA, security, and business stakeholders.

• Implement and support cloud security controls including:
  • IAM
  • KMS

Requirements

• 7 – 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS core services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, ELB, RDS, EFS, FSx, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, routing, and security controls.
• Solid understanding of container-based deployments, orchestration, and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as GitLab, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-optimized architectures.
• Good understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, and access controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels, including engineers, architects, and management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications such as:
  • AWS Solutions Architect
  • AWS Security Specialty
• Experience with AWS AI services such as Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, AgentCore, or other Generative AI capabilities.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS and OCI).

• Experience working in high-availability or regulated environments.
