Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen security across applications, systems and cloud environments. You will collaborate with engineering and tech teams to identify risks and embed secure practices throughout the SDLC.

The role requires hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, pentesting, threat modelling and cloud security, with strong scripting and analysis skills to remediate findings and improve security postures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, threat modelling, application security, cloud security or secure software development.
• Coding or scripting knowledge with the ability to identify and assess security issues in application code.
• Good understanding of security risks, vulnerabilities and remediation approaches.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls and secure engineering best practices.
• Conduct threat modelling, security assessments and risk reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Perform and support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, including validation and remediation of findings.
• Review application code, technical designs and architectures for security risks.
• Investigate security findings and incidents, supporting root cause analysis and remediation.
• Develop and improve security automation, testing tools and processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps and other teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
