Job summary

The role covers study setup, grant writing support, participant recruitment, data and sample collection, qualitative analysis, manuscript preparation, and meticulous maintenance of electronic study documents and audit trails, with English and Mandarin language competencies.

Qualifications

• Degree in population health, therapy, psychology, social sciences, social work.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in qualitative research and analysis.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Singapore's sociocultural context and engaging local communities.
• Ability to conduct interviews in English and Mandarin.
• Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVivo, Atlas.ti or Dedoose.
• Knowledge in quantitative methods and mixed-method research.
• Ability to use quantitative tools such as SPSS or Stata.
• Independent and collaborative work style.
• Keen, conscientious and motivated.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide research expertise in population health, psychosocial impacts, and related topics.
• Assist in study start-up tasks: ethics submission documents, study folders, meetings.
• Support PI with grant write-up and applications.
• Set up logistics for study procurement and activities.
• Design and implement qualitative/mixed-method projects.
• Develop data collection tools (interview guides, focus groups, etc.).
• Screen and recruit participants for enrolment.
• Conduct qualitative data collection (interviews, focus groups, observations).
• Perform qualitative analysis (thematic/content/grounded theory).
• Contribute to manuscripts, reports, posters, abstracts, and grants.
• Support quantitative/mixed-method data analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain electronic study documents and audit trails.
• Assist in project management, progress tracking, and audits when required.
