Job summary

Thought Machine is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Singapore team. You will embed with client engineering groups to design, build, and deploy production-ready Vault implementations and related products.

You will work across backend development, systems integration, and infrastructure, traveling to client sites up to 25% of the time, while ensuring practical outcomes and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python or Go and production-grade delivery.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure in production environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• End-to-end project delivery mindset including edge cases and operability.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client engineering teams on-site or remotely to deliver production-ready Vault implementations.
• Own the technical success of assigned engagements and ensure practical results.
• Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans with client architects and engineers.
• Act as technical point of contact, building trust through consistent delivery.
