Job summary

asia pacific exchange pte. ltd. seeks a seasoned risk professional to manage APEX's clearing risks under the Risk Management Department in Singapore.

Reporting to the CRO, you will oversee risk policies, margins, and stress testing for multiple products including futures and options. You will review and update policies to reflect IOSCO-PFMI guidelines, perform end-of-day verifications, develop risk models, and communicate complex results clearly to stakeholders in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• University degree in a numerate discipline.
• Familiarity with IOSCO-PFMI guidelines and regulatory risk considerations.
• Experience managing clearing house risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage APEX clearing risks per risk policies and procedures.
• Review and update policies reflecting IOSCO-PFMI guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Lead initiatives to enhance policies, reports, and systems for new products.
• Identify data quality gaps and improve reporting processes.
• Perform night-shift end-of-day margin verification and related tasks.
• Produce stress test, back test, liquidity and counterparty reports.
• Upload SPAN files to APEX and CME websites.
• Develop/validate risk models for margining, haircut, and stress testing.
• Conduct credit scoring for members and counterparties.
• Test contingency and recovery plans to ensure operability.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
