Job summary

SGT ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Drafter to join our engineering consultancy team in Singapore.

You will work with engineers to prepare civil, structural and temporary works drawings for building and infrastructure projects. You will handle ERSS, underground structures, temporary works, reinforced concrete and steel structures, coordinating with engineers and contractors while ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Civil & Structural drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Able to understand structural drawings and engineering terminology.
• Able to independently develop drawings from engineers' sketches and design information.
• Experience in ERSS, temporary works, infrastructure, underground structures or geotechnical drawings will be an advantage.
• Experience with Singapore engineering consultancy projects and BCA/LTA/PUB submissions will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM or Tekla will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
• Careful and systematic, with good attention to drawing details.
• Able to manage drawing revisions and work on several projects when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil and structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare design, submission, construction and detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare drawings for ERSS, retaining structures, excavation works, tunnelling works, temporary works, reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Develop engineering drawings based on engineers' calculations, sketches and design concepts.
• Prepare plans, sections, elevations and construction details.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, authority comments and site requirements.
• Coordinate drawings with engineers, contractors and other disciplines.
• Maintain proper drawing records, revisions and document control.
• Assist engineers in preparing drawings for BCA and other authority submissions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements and company drafting standards.
