Job summary

BUILDERS ALLIANCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Civil Engineer / Drafter with 2–3 years of relevant experience to prepare and update civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD and related drafting tools.

You will create shop drawings and construction details while coordinating with engineers, consultants and site teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. The role requires reading various drawings, knowledge of local practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience in civil construction, structural works, or drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or other BIM software is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices, codes and standards is an advantage.
• Familiar with preparing construction drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD or relevant drafting software.
• Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings, details and as-built drawings based on engineering requirements.
• Assist engineers in developing drawings, layouts, sections and construction details.
• Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, specifications and consistency.
• Incorporate comments and revisions from engineers, consultants and clients.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, M&E and other disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Liaise with the site team to understand actual site conditions and update drawings accordingly.
• Assist in preparing method-related drawings, temporary works drawings and submission drawings, where required.
• Maintain proper records and revision control of drawings.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Support the Project Engineer/Project Manager in technical and drawing-related matters.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved designs and applicable requirements.
• Perform other engineering/drafting duties assigned by the management.
