Job summary

Aurecon Singapore (Pte) Ltd is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Singapore. You will provide design and project management services for water-related civil projects, including roads, drainage, and sewerage, and support tender preparation and technical reporting.

The role requires 2–8 years of design experience, familiarity with local standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Recognized Civil Engineering qualification (Bachelor/Master’s).
• 2–8 years of professional design experience in civil works.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations (local codes) and use of civil software.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive design and project management services for water-related civil projects.
• Carry out design calculations and prepare tender docs and proposals.

What will you do?

In this position you will join our Infrastructure business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects.

• Provide comprehensive design and project management services to clients, including preliminary & detailed design of Water projects including roadworks, earthworks, sewerage, water, and drainage.
• Carry out design calculations and produce sketch drawings, preparation of tender documents and proposals. Write, consolidate, and review technical reports of water projects and studies.
• Possess initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise during design and construction stages.
• Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/ Approved Concept, as well as relevant design standards and office standards.
• Work independently and have excellent communication skills with project team-mates as part of a team.

What can you bring to the team?

• Recognized Civil Engineering qualification or related field (Bachelor/ Master’s degree).
• Minimum 2 to 8 years of professional design experience in the field of civil works design preferably in roads, drainage, and sewerage projects of PUB, JTC, HDB, URA, LTA, etc.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of civil related regulation, standards, and reference of design – such as Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and statutory requirements (LTA, BCA, PUB etc.), with hands on experience in usage of Civil Engineering Software.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
• Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication and project coordination skills.
