Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Chartered / Professional Engineer status (PE, CPEng, or equivalent) is required.
• 15+ years in mechanical building services within a consulting environment.
• Proven delivery of complex, multidisciplinary buildings projects.
• Interest in innovative, energy efficient and sustainable projects.
• Proactive with ability to work independently or as part of a team and strong communication skills.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; business development and account management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative technical leadership and governance for mechanical building services design across major projects.
• Act as technical reviewer and approver, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and best practices.
• Lead resolution of complex technical, design, and risk-related challenges.
• Oversee mechanical engineering delivery on high-profile projects with focus on quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and stakeholders.
• Support bids, tenders, and proposals through technical input, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Set and maintain technical standards, design guides, and best-practice frameworks.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders; support succession planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated building solutions.
• Promote innovation, digital engineering, sustainability and safety-in-design across projects.
