Job summary

JE Human Resources Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with 2–3 years of civil or construction experience to join our project team.

You will oversee site activities, monitor pile load testing, prepare and submit technical designs to authorities, and ensure drawings used on site are up to date. The role requires familiarity with deep foundation works, soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles, and the ability to coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Singapore PE Board.
• 2–3 years of Civil/Structural engineering or construction experience.
• Familiarity with deep foundation works (bored piling) and soil mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit technical engineering designs and documentation to local authorities before work commences.
• Monitor and prepare soil investigation bore logs and generate geotechnical reports.
• Advise site personnel on structural mechanics and monitor pile load testing.
• Propose corrective actions for non-conformances and assist in resolving technical complaints.
• Attend technical meetings and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Submissions: Prepare and submit technical engineering designs and documentation to local authorities before work commences.
• Geotechnical Reporting: Monitor and prepare soil investigation bore logs, and generate reports on critical geotechnical matters.
• Site Supervision: Advise site personnel on structural mechanics, monitor pile load testing, and ensure the latest construction drawings are used on-site.
• Quality & Compliance: Propose corrective actions for non-conformances related to design and assist in resolving technical complaints.
• Project Coordination: Attend technical meetings and coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Degree Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Singapore PE (Professional Engineers) Board.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering or construction is typically preferred.
• Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with deep foundation works (bored piling), soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering principles.
