Job summary

CGS CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a professional Civil Engineer to oversee site operations from planning to completion, coordinating with design teams, clients, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will review drawings, enforce WSH rules and building codes, monitor schedules, and report progress and quality. Singapore experience and PE or safety certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in building or civil infrastructure construction in Singapore.
• Familiarity with Singapore's BCA and WSH frameworks; PE license or related safety certifications are a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, CAD software, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Engineer is responsible for managing a project's technical and engineering aspects from planning to completion. They are a key link between the design team, site operations, and project stakeholders, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and following specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Operations & Supervision: Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily site activities to guarantee a smooth flow of construction work.
• Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Enforce local workplace safety rules, conduct safety audits, and ensure full compliance with WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) regulations and building codes.
• Technical Coordination: Review structural and architectural drawings, resolve on-site technical issues, and provide real-time engineering solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and government authorities.
• Progress & Resource Monitoring: Track project schedules, material deliveries, and manpower deployment.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports, inspection records, and quality assurance documentation.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in building or civil infrastructure construction in Singapore.
• Licenses/Certifications: Familiarity with Singapore's BCA and WSH frameworks; a Professional Engineer (PE) license or related safety certifications are a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, CAD software, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project or Primavera P6).
