Job summary

TIANMING CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable Construction Coordinator to oversee day-to-day site activities in Singapore. You will lead a team of operation staff, monitor deployment, and maintain site storage and access while ensuring quality, safety, and WSHE compliance.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification and at least 3 years of local construction experience, with strong drawing interpretation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction in Singapore.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Familiarity with construction methods, planning, materials and equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction activities of the project.
• Lead a team of operation staff in daily operations.
• Monitor and control the general workers' deployment on-site.
• Maintain and manage site storage areas for building materials and equipment.
• Maintain site access throughout the construction period.
• Plan ahead to prevent on-site problems, coordinate delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
• Ensure progress of work is within budget and timelines, and meets quality and safety objectives.
• Control and monitor work progress and resources.
• Monitor and reduce material wastage.
• Understand project specifications, technical drawings, and construction drawings.
• Carry out work scheduling, material requisition planning, project coordination, and documentation.
• Ensure timely completion with high quality standards and WSHE compliance.
• Attend progress meetings and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

• Maintain site access throughout the construction period.
• Planning ahead to prevent the problem on-site before it occurs, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
• Ensure progress of work is within budget and timelines as well as quality and safety objectives.
• Control and monitor work progress and resources.
• Monitor and control material wastage.
• In-depth understanding of project specifications, technical details, and construction drawings.
• Carry out work scheduling, material requisition planning, project coordination, and documentation.
• Ensure timely completion and good quality of works & carried out safely and WSHE regulations are complied with.
• Ensuring that the site works are completed with high quality standards and adhering to safety requirements throughout the project.
• Attend progress meeting, coordinate with the contractor, suppliers on all project implementation issues and attend site meetings when required.
• Report to the Project Director.
• Overall in charge of site coordination.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Candidate must possess a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 3 year of experience in construction industry in Singapore
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans
• Familiarity with construction methods, planning, materials, and equipment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Work in a fast-paced and busy environment
