Job summary

Apple is looking for a Network Engineer to join the Global Network Services team in Singapore. This role involves designing and supporting the network infrastructure in China, collaborating closely with local carriers, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and Chinese telecom regulations, coupled with solid experience in network operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or Operations is required.
• Solid understanding of BGP, RSVP-TE, MPLS, VPNs is essential.
• Fluency in English is mandatory for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate network infrastructure for Apple's operations in China.
• Collaborate with teams globally to enhance network architecture.
• Troubleshoot issues across carrier networks effectively.

Skills

Network Engineering or Operations experience

Knowledge of BGP, RSVP-TE, MPLS, VPNs, IS-IS, OSPF

Experience with documentation of Network Design and Test Plans

Knowledge of BGP Routing Policies and Internet Peering

Understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6)

Familiarity with China's domestic telecommunications carriers

Experience interfacing with Chinese carriers

Knowledge of China's internet exchange points

Working knowledge of China's telecommunications regulations

Fluency in English

Education

College degree (BA or BS) or equivalent relevant experience

Technical degree preferred

Tools

Network Operating Systems: JUNOS, SR-OS, EOS, IOS-XR

Experience with Spirent or Ixia test platforms

Programming languages: Python, Rust, Go, C
