Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Childcare Helper for a part-time weekday role. You will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being during a short 4-hour shift each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising children in a structured and safe environment.
• Support with feeding, diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene tasks.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, storytelling, and educational activities.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the playroom and common areas.
• Ensure children are safe and secure at all times, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with lead caregivers or parents to understand daily needs or routines.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to children as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of child development and early childhood care.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both children and adults.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a daycare, preschool, or home childcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours

• Days: Monday to Friday (Weekends Off)
• Shifts Available: Morning and Afternoon (flexible options based on availability)
