Eames Consulting is supporting a fast-growing fintech client in Singapore to recruit a hands-on CTO. This leadership role works closely with the board to shape technology direction and deliver influence beyond pure operations.

You will inherit a modern stack (Vue 3/Nuxt, Java/Spring Boot microservices, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and lead the engineering team to elevate architecture and engineering practice in the next growth phase. Mandarin language skills are essential.

Our client is a fast-growing, specialist fintech organisation that helps global businesses.

We are working with this business, on a confidential basis, to find their next Chief Technology Officer.

This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role working closely alongside the board, with real influence over technology direction rather than a purely operational remit. You will inherit a modern, production-grade stack (Vue 3/Nuxt, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and a multi-database layer spanning MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis) and an established engineering team, working closely with the wider product organisation. You will shape the architecture, elevate engineering practice, and directly influence how their platform evolves through its next phase of growth.

We are looking for a technologist who has come up through the ranks as a software engineer and built genuine hands‑on credibility before stepping into leadership.

Ideally you will have:

• A background as a software engineer who has progressed into senior engineering or CTO-level leadership, rather than a purely managerial route in
• Experience gained across InsurTech, FinTech, RegTech, HealthTech, Legal Tech, Payments or comparable regulated, data-intensive industries
• A track record of building and scaling products used by real customers, not just internal tools
• Genuine, hands‑on familiarity with modern AI/ML stacks, LLMs, RAG and agentic approaches, and the ability to translate that into shipped product features rather than side projects
• Comfort operating in a growth-stage environment, without the safety net of a large institution behind you
• Mandarin language skills (essential given the regional stakeholder footprint)
