Michael Page International is seeking a senior technology leader for a pioneering banking institution. The role reports to the CEO and focuses on defining and executing an enterprise technology strategy across AI, cloud, and digital banking initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 20+ years of technology leadership experience in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Proven track record leading large-scale technology organisations and complex estates.
• Experience building and scaling digital-first banking platforms, operations and cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, resilience and governance.
• Ability to partner with the CEO and executive team while remaining hands-on when needed.

Job Description

• Define and execute the bank's enterprise technology strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
• Lead technology, engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology operations functions across an organisation of approximately 80-90 internal and outsourced professionals
• Drive platform scalability, resilience, operational efficiency and service reliability across all banking systems
• Partner closely with business, risk, compliance and operations leaders to deliver strategic transformation initiatives
• Identify technology risks, operational bottlenecks and control weaknesses, implementing proactive remediation measures
• Champion innovation across AI, automation, cloud based architecture, digital banking and emerging technologies
• Develop high-performing technology teams, succession plans and governance frameworks while maintaining regulatory compliance and technology excellence

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
• 20+ years of technology leadership experience within banking, digital banking, fintech or regulated financial services environments
• Proven track record leading large-scale technology organisations and managing complex technology estates
• Experience building and scaling digital-first banking platforms, technology operations and cybersecurity capabilities
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, operational risk management, resilience frameworks and technology governance
• Demonstrated success delivering technology transformation, cloud adoption, AI initiatives and digital innovation programmes
• Ability to operate as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team while remaining hands-on when required
• Prior experience as a CTO, Deputy CTO, CIO, Head of Technology or equivalent senior leadership role within banking or fintech environments
