Job summary

GIC Private Limited is seeking a Senior VP/MD to lead Security Engineering within the Technology Group in Singapore. You will direct IAM, encryption, vulnerability management, and security tooling across the organization, driving a zero-trust strategy and cross-team collaboration.

In this role you will set the security strategy, build and mentor high-performing teams, and partner with Cyber Defence and Governance to strengthen GIC’s security posture in a highly regulated financial services

Qualifications

• 18+ years in cybersecurity or infrastructure
• 8+ years leading security engineering teams
• Identity and access management expertise
• Cryptography and PKI knowledge
• Broad security tooling knowledge across 12 domains
• Proven enterprise security transformation leadership
• Familiarity with NIST CSF and ISO 27001
• Executive-level leadership and communication skills
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM
• Experience in financial services or regulated industry
• Experience shaping post-quantum cryptography/ITDR strategies

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineering across IAM, encryption, data protection and AI security
• Set strategy and build high-performing security engineering teams
• Deliver robust, scalable security platforms for zero trust
• Oversee vulnerability management, threat detection and response tooling
• Integrate threat intelligence into detection and response
• Manage malware analysis, forensics, and incident response capabilities
• Oversee network security and data loss prevention programs
• Champion archiving/records retention aligned with regulations
• Guide software supply chain security within SDLC
• Collaborate with Cyber Defence, Governance and Risk teams
• Drive post-quantum cryptography and ITDR initiatives
• Communicate security strategy to executives and business units
