Job description

As the Chief School Improvement Officer (CSIO) at Questar III BOCES, you will play a crucial role in providing visionary and dynamic leadership to our agency and component districts. Leading the Office of School Improvement (OSI) with a continuous improvement framework, you will ensure that professional learning opportunities for staff within BOCES and component districts are up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices to enhance student outcomes. As a key member of the Questar III BOCES Senior Management Team, you will be expected to embody our core values of Commitment to Excellence, Leadership and Service, and Innovation.Ideal candidates for this position should possess the following characteristics:- Strong leadership skills to cultivate a professional learning environment and build a community among diverse stakeholder groups in the region.- Dedication to prioritizing students by delivering professional learning programs and shared services based on research findings.- Proficiency in data-driven instruction to guide instructional decision-making.- Thorough understanding of State Education Department initiatives relevant to the areas of responsibility.- Exceptional interpersonal skills to inspire and involve the school community and stakeholders in supporting Questar's Leading Edge - Framework for Goal setting, Innovation, and Growth.- Demonstrated success as a School District Administrator.- Possession of New York State School District (SDA or SDL) administrative certification.Questar III offers a competitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $145,000, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
