Job summary

Fuku, a Singapore-incorporated financial services firm, seeks an experienced COO / Executive Director to join the senior management team and Board. You will oversee day-to-day operations, governance, risk management and execution of the business strategy, reporting to the CEO.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge and the ability to work with regulators and the Board to ensure MAS compliance and effective controls across front-to-back operations.

Qualifications

• Significant senior management experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, AML/CFT and internal controls.
• Experience with MAS or regulated institutions preferred.
• Ability to work with regulators and Board.
• Experience in capital markets operations is a plus.

About the Role

We are a Singapore-incorporated financial services firm applying to the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a Capital Markets Services Licence. We are seeking an experienced COO / Executive Director to join the senior management team and Board of Directors. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to oversee the Company's day-to-day operations, governance, risk management and execution of its business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Company and ensure effective execution of its business strategy and operating model.
• Processes & Controls: Establish and maintain effective operational processes, controls, policies and procedures.
• Regulatory Readiness: Ensure operational readiness and ongoing compliance with applicable MAS requirements, internal policies and licence conditions.
• Risk Management: Work closely with Legal, Compliance and Risk functions to identify, assess and manage regulatory, operational and conduct risks.
• Board Updates: Prepare and present operational, risk and management updates to the Board.

What We're Looking For

• Significant senior management experience in financial services, capital markets, brokerage, derivatives, foreign exchange, fintech or another regulated financial institution.
• Strong understanding of front-to-back financial markets operations and control frameworks, with good knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, AML/CFT, outsourcing, technology risk and internal controls.
• Strong leadership, organisational and decision‑making capabilities, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with regulators, Board members, senior management and external service providers, and to satisfy the MAS Fit and Proper Criteria (honesty, integrity and reputation; competence and capability; financial soundness).
• Bonus: previous experience in a MAS‑regulated financial institution or Capital Markets Services Licence holder; securities, OTC derivatives, FX, CFDs or institutional brokerage experience; previous COO, Head of Operations or Executive Director experience; experience establishing or scaling a regulated financial‑services business in Singapore.
