A fintech company in Singapore is seeking a CFO to oversee financial management and lead IPO processes. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in top investment banks or tech firms, with strong skills in strategic thinking and negotiation. This position offers a hybrid work model based in Singapore and the US.
OPay was founded in 2019 and provides Financial Services such as payment and digital wallets to customers in Africa and Asia. It also provides innovative financial technology solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data. Currently, business covers countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, and Pakistan.
OPay brings advanced financial technology into the local financial ecosystem through technological innovation, helps local enterprises digitally upgrade, and provides convenient financial services for a large number of unbanked people in Africa and the Middle East. After five years of development, OPay has gained significant market position in countries such as Nigeria and Egypt, becoming an important driving force for achieving inclusive finance locally.
Since its establishment, OPay has received investment from many top domestic and foreign investment institutions. In November 2019, OPay completed a $120 million Series B financing, with investment institutions including Meituan Dragon Ball, Source Code Capital, IDG Capital, and Sequoia China. In 2021, it completed a $400 million Series C financing led by SoftBank Vision Fund, with participation from Meituan Dragon Ball Capital, Sequoia Capital, Redpoint China, Source Code Capital, SoftBank Asia Fund, and 3W Capital.

Employment: OPay is considering to engage a 3rd party agency on local employment in the US. (Note: OPay has no legal entity in the US at the moment but Kunlun Group has. This CFO role will be hired under OPay.)
Work location: If based in the US, candidate can be WFH for around 60-70% of the time and works in OPay SG office for around 30-40% of the time.
Ideal profile: US citizen + investment banking + fin-tech company CFO.
