Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership seeks a Vice President (VP) of Airfreight to lead global strategy, P&L management, and performance of the air cargo network. The role directs strategic planning, network design, pricing oversight, and regulatory compliance across regions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in airfreight leadership, proven P&L ownership, and advanced stakeholder management. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required with a Master’s preferred, for a senior executive portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15+ years of leadership in airfreight forwarding, airline cargo, or supply chain management.
• Proven profit and loss ownership and large-scale contract negotiation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, market analytics, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop 3- to 5-year airfreight strategies covering digital transformation, route optimization, and sustainability initiatives.
• Network & Capacity Management: Design scalable regional networks, manage block-space agreements, and secure long-term airline partnerships.
• Commercial Leadership: Oversee pricing structures, profit margins, and high-value customer accounts in collaboration with sales.
• P&L & Financial Accountability: Own overall revenue targets, cost reduction, and budget performance for the air cargo division.
• Regulatory & Industry Compliance: Ensure adherence to international aviation rules (IATA, customs regulations) and safety standards.
