Job summary

RELIANT HUMAN RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced welder/fabrication supervisor for shipyard operations. You will read blueprints, oversee fabrication, welding in multiple positions, and supervise building frames, doors, stairs, and structures.

You will ensure quality by inspecting welds, setting up equipment, and coordinating with operations and administration. A Shipyard Safety Supervisor Course with at least 10 years' experience and a welding certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Take measurements and calculate material needs.
• Welding in multiple positions and repairs.
• Experience in shipyard safety practices.
• Must possess welding certificate and safety course.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate with operation and administration teams.
• Read blueprints and take measurements to plan layout.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials per specs.
• Build frames, doors, stairs and other structures.
• Lay out floors, roofs or drywall to ensure accuracy.
• Carve, assemble furniture and install as designated.
• Inspect sites, perform repairs or maintenance.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
• Weld components in various positions, test welds.
• Set up welding equipment according to specifications.
• Align components using calipers and rulers.
